village Fedorovka
Terekti district was formed in March 1933 in the West Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the village of Fedorovka which is located 45 km east from the regional center of Uralsk. The territory of the district is 8.0 thousand square kilometers, which is 5.3% of the territory of the West Kazakhstan region. The territory of the district is located on the left bank of the river Ural, in the north-eastern part of the region. The border of the district in the north is the Ural river, in the west - the lands of Uralsk, in the east - the lands of Burlinsky district and in the south – are districts of Syrym and Akzhaik. The administrative-territorial division of the district is as follows: 15 rural districts, 52 settlements in them. The population of the region is 38 079 people. (datas on 01 april 2019). People of 11 nationalities live in friendship, peace and harmony.
The disctict Terektinsky is one of the largest districts of West Kazakhstan region. Since ancient times the district is the connection of Europe and Asia, through this place passed Great Silk Road. This tradition is alive nowadays, through the territory of this district pass next transport ways: railway tracks which connects Europe and Asia, automobile way of republican significance «Samara-Shymkent» and Podsepnoe-Fedorovka-Russian Federation», international airport «Akzhol» which gives opportunities to get anywhere in the world. The district has all types of infrastructure, so that gives an opportunities to realize business projects.
The international sanatorium «Akzhayik» is situated on the territory of Terektinskyi district, where people of the region and guests from neighboring and foreign countries have opportunities to have a rest on the bank of «Ural» river. By the conclusion of scientists and physicians the mineral water found within the territory of sanatorium «Akzhayik» heals cardiovascular disease, ischemic disease of heart, musculoskeletal system, diabetes.
Educational general schools special computerized, equipped with subject and multimedia cabinets.Every year grows amount of graduates who enter to the university for a grant and a loan. The linguistic grammar school "Umit" is one of the leading educational institutions in the region and in the district.
The region has unique reserved historical places. In the tract "Bratanovsky Yar" there is a villa-museum of the world-famous writer, Nobel laureate MA Sholokhov. In the village of Sary Omir of the Shalkar rural district, there is a museum of the world-famous Kazakh enlightener, thinker, writer Hamza Yesenzhanov.
The largest lake Shalkar in Kazakhstan is located in the south-west of the district. The lake is located 75 km from the city of Uralsk. Like many other salt lakes in Kazakhstan, Shalkar is rich in fish, it is full of waterfowl birds.
